In our family, we’ve always enjoyed a good cup of coffee. In fact, if a family legend were to be believed, my great grandmother was reputed to be one of the finest coffee makers this side of the great lakes. People who had ever taster a cup of her freshly brewed coffee would often relate the tale of taste to their family, till the tales were carried down across the generations. So when great grand mother passed away at the ripe old age of ninety two, all of us were understandably unhappy.

The Eileen is a black and stainless steel frame Bodum coffee maker in the French press style. It has a square handle for easy grip and it is chosen by bistro and café owners. The Costa Rica 8 Cup French Press also has a stainless steel frame and an easy grip curved handle with a rubber coating. Coffee is quick and easy to make. Ground coffee is put into the flask, hot water is added and stirred with a wooden or plastic spoon. After three or four minutes, the plunger is pressed and perfect coffee is the result.

Coming from the largest coffee producing country in the world, you know that a cup of Brazil coffee is going to hit the spot. It comes in a range from cheap mass produced coffee to the best espresso brewed coffee bean. When producing Brazil coffee the fruit is removed from the coffee bean. This is accomplished by four different methods and it is not uncommon for all of the methods to be used the same farm. It is also common for all four methods to be used during the same harvest of the coffee as well.

We had the same automatic coffee makers, but the cups that they brewed were quite different. Part of it had to do with the coffee that we put in the automatic coffee maker.
